In a digital world where information, ideas and things easily go viral and become widely accepted, we are surrounded by emerging trends that continue to replace one another and give us the sense that the last one is obsolete. Now when I speak on trends I do not only mean superficial materialistic things, but rather the concept of this collective hive thinking we sometimes fall prey too.
Seeing things shift in the world rapidly sometimes leaves us feeling out of position. Sometimes these new trends are actually great & align with who we are. It is a great loss when we decide to dull away the sharp edges that make us so individually unique just to fit in. Character is everything, and you should always value what makes you so you and only then adapt to things that align with it. The moral of the story is, trends come and go, but the sharp edges that make up you are intangible and should never be at anything’s expense.
