Karma…♠️x♣️ | In this poetic card I looked to capture the essence of karma in my signature style you’ve all come to know. This topic was quite challenging and intimidating, especially because I wanted to approach it differently from the usual cliché we are all numb too. I definitely thought twice about naming this karma, but knew it was right once finished. The term mind-state is often used but I believe the essence of this lies within the heart, and thus created heart-state. By definition, a connoisseur is an expert judge in matters of taste. So here I propose a poet is an expert judge in taste when it comes to capturing the essence of humans and our nature (mankind = humankind). Not in the scientific or fundamental sense, but rather the artistic, the finer side, the tasteful. In this poetic card I wanted to capture the mystic symbolism of the lotus flower to represent resilience and strength of women. Flowers are commonly used to portray the beauty of a woman, so I chose to bring light to a different attribute. To be resilient is to know oneself. By knowing oneself, one knows how to thrive or adapt in any climate; whether it’s the best of days or the darkest. The lotus is beautiful and unique as it grows in the mud, submerges under water at night and emerges during the day, sparklingly clean. For those who may not know, dolphins are the rare few mammals that close one eye when they sleep; the left eye will be closed when the right half of the brain sleeps, and vice versa. This type of sleep is known as unihemispheric sleep as only one brain hemisphere sleeps at a time. Nebula is a giant cloud of space dust. Curious to see what everyone takes away from this poetic card. Some immerse themselves in the outside world, letting it fill every capillary.
